For Immediate Release
DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK, Calif., December 11, 2013 – Furnace Creek Resort, has extended its popular “Prospector Rates” through March 2014. Offered on select dates at both the luxurious AAA Four-Diamond-rated Inn at Furnace Creek and the family-friendly Ranch at Furnace Creek, these special rates are offered just in time for winter-weary travelers to plan an affordable getaway to one of California’s sunniest spots.
The Ranch at Furnace Creek is open year round and features a wide range of activities, restaurants and retail operations as well as 224 rooms and cabins in a casual setting on the floor of Death Valley National Park. A member of the Historic Hotels of America, the Inn at Furnace Creek is open from mid-October through mid-May and offers 66 rooms and suites, fine dining, a spring-fed flow-through swimming pool and a terrace offering some of the finest sunsets in the West. The two lodges are located about a mile apart, and each offers a distinctive desert experience.
“Death Valley is a sun-drenched desert oasis that has a special appeal during the winter months, particularly for those who are weary of cold temperatures and gray skies,” said Rich Jones, general manager of Furnace Creek Resort. “The first few months of the year are prime time here, and it’s the perfect season of the year for both active adventures like hiking or just lounging by the pool.”
Located near the eastern edge of the vast 3.3-million-acre park, Furnace Creek may seem remote but is in fact easily accessible. Located about 2½ hours from McCarren International Airport in Las Vegas, the resort is particularly popular for Las Vegas enthusiasts seeking a relaxed travel experience after a few days of high-energy adventures in Sin City.
Prospector Rates are available at the Ranch on select dates through late March. For a complete listing of dates, visit http://www.furnacecreekresort.com/dealsandpackages/prospector-rates/
