Xanterra Parks & Resorts Retail Division is built on a century-long tradition of delivering high-value and high-quality hospitality that began with our predecessor, Fred Harvey. Originally known for providing appetizing meals and comfortable dining quarters at railroad stops throughout the Southwest, Fred Harvey operations revolutionized the tourism industry and set the standard for park concessions, establishing the national service yardstick by which hotels, restaurants and stores are still measured today.
Xanterra’s Retail Division prides itself on providing top quality goods and services at reasonable rates. We offer a wide array of merchandise in each of our stores from exclusive, custom souvenirs to regional crafts and foods; including park-specific interpretive products and local Native American arts and crafts, but only with the help of some of the best suppliers in the industry.
Beyond Great Customer Service
Xanterra’s approach to providing and exceeding guest services in our retail operations revolves around establishing and exacting merchandising standards that separate us from other retailers. Working in partnership with the National Park Service, each store we operate embraces themes representative of its location by providing interpretive products and innovative displays. Through our unique product assortment and signage we help educate park visitors about the cultures, history and features of each park, while at the same time offering tangible memories of their visit. Ongoing educational programs for store associates allow them to act as park ambassadors, armed with knowledge of both products and area history to share with store visitors. We also support Xanterra’s environmental initiatives by continuing to reduce packaging waste and utilizing recycled materials. We encourage store visitors to follow our lead in helping preserve the parks for future generations.
Xanterra’s 52 stores in locations across the United States allow guests to take home unique keepsakes that capture the character and spirit of their park experiences at the same time while enjoying store environments that complement the natural beauty of our nation’s parks.
