Gordon R. Taylor, Vice President, Parks South
Gordon R. Taylor is the Vice President of Parks South and joined the Xanterra Executive Team in April of 2010. Gordon oversees concession operations in the Grand Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, and Petrified Forest National Park. He also oversees the operations of Furnace Creek Resort in Death Valley National Park, Grand Canyon Railway Resort in Williams, Arizona as well as Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Taylor brings more than 25 years of hospitality management experience to his position, most recently as Arizona Regional General Manager for Xanterra Parks & Resorts. Prior to that, he was Regional General Manager of TW Recreational Services' Utah Parks division, which was purchased by Xanterra in December 1995. Taylor's previous experience includes positions from departmental director level management through property general management.
Taylor is a past board member of the Northern Arizona Sustainable Economic Development Initiative, member of the Northern Arizona Green Building Association and has been actively involved with several travel and tourism associations including the National Park Hospitality Association.
