Paul P. Maiorana, Director, Data Processing
Paul has been the director of data processing for Xanterra Parks & Resorts since 1984 and is an IT professional with over 40 years of technical and management experience.
Prior to joining Xanterra, Maiorana was a regional support specialist for Burroughs Corporation, providing hardware and operating system support for the Burroughs Corporation main frame computer systems within the western region of the United States.
Maiorana's experience includes working on project Apollo for Grumman Aerospace as an instrumentation technician, serving in the United States Air Force as a member of a nuclear missile launch team, providing regional support for Burroughs Corporation's main frame systems, serving as director of data processing for Fred Harvey (Now Xanterra Parks and Resorts), orchestrating the move of three data centers, and the consolidation of Brisbane, California data center with the corporate data center in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Under Maiorana's leadership, Xanterra's computer operations department manages the corporate financial systems,providing 7 days a week 15 hour day,hardware and software coverage. Over the years Maiorana has integrated several diverse financial systems from the many acquisitions Xanterra Parks & Resorts has made into the current Lawson financial system.
Maiorana is a Graduate of Bethpage High school in Bethpage, New York.
Maiorana received his programming training from Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico and received his technology training from Grumman Aerospace in New York, United States Air Force in Denver, Colorado and Burroughs Corporation in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
