Richard E. Rabinoff, Director, Hospitality Technology
Richard E. Rabinoff is director of hospitality technology for Xanterra Parks & Resorts. Rabinoff is primarily responsible for the selection, deployment and maintenance of customer-facing computer systems used in Xanterra’s day-to-day operations. This broad portfolio of platforms includes central reservations, Internet distribution and reservations, property management systems, activities management, retail and food and beverage point of sale, sales and catering, payment processing, and property-based telecommunications.
In his more than 10 years with Xanterra, Rabinoff has been instrumental in streamlining and standardizing the company’s systems portfolio. As a result of this technology consolidation, Xanterra has reduced dramatically the cost and efforts required to deploy, support, maintain regulatory compliance, and provide training on systems, particularly in highly seasonal environments.
Prior to joining Xanterra, Rabinoff was a regional IT manager for Club Méditerranée, a Paris-based all-inclusive resort operator. Stationed in Florida, he oversaw IT and telecommunications projects, including major renovations and new construction, for resorts in the United States, Mexico, Bahamas, Bermuda, and French and British West Indies. He spent two years working for Club Med out of their Paris data center, developing software and supervising the worldwide rollout for a food and beverage cost control application.
A native of New York City, Rabinoff holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Microsoft Professional (MCP) and holds the Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP) designation from the association of Hospitality Technology and Financial Professionals (HFTP).
