The last three years have been the driest years in California history and the end is nowhere in sight. Yet even in the hottest, driest and lowest spot in America, Death Valley California, there is a thriving desert Oasis with areas of wetland habitat, Furnace Creek Resort. This plentiful, natural spring is what inspired the Borax Company to open the Inn at Furnace Creek in 1927.Today, Xanterra works hard to preserve our precious water resource in Death Valley; after all, effective and efficient use of resources is one of our four pillars of sustainability. We are proud to run a gravity-fed system of natural springs for water and work hard to conserve this precious resource through a variety of on-site recycling and reuse methods. LEARN MORE
