Jim Forester joins Xanterra with over 25 years of technology leadership and delivery background and comes with a strong passion for providing great customer and team member experiences. Prior to joining Xanterra, Jim led IT Transformation and Cybersecurity senior executive consulting initiatives for clients in the Grocery industry. Prior to that Jim served as the Vice President of Frontline Technology for T-Mobile, where he was responsible for the Customer and business operations’ underlying technology for Retail (for over 3500 stores), Digital/Web, Customer Care, and Supply Chain capabilities. During his time at T-Mobile Jim focused on improving selling and support capabilities, accelerating IT deliveries, and growth business-initiatives resulting in an additional 12 million customers.
Prior to T-Mobile Jim served as the Vice President of IT at Jack in the Box Inc, where he held several positions including responsibility for enterprise business systems, and restaurant technology for over 2200 restaurants. During his time at Jack in the Box Jim partnered across all business units on initiatives including Jack in the Box’s transformation to a majority-franchise model, evolving IT delivery capabilities, increasing restaurant sales, and streamlining restaurant operations.
Prior to Jack in the Box, Jim served as a Partner at Accenture where he spent 17 years in the technology practice serving clients across the globe predominantly in the Retail and Consumer Products industries. Jim led a broad range of business and technology transformations for Fortune 100 and 500 companies including retail operations, sales, supply chain, finance/ accounting, and infrastructure.
Jim has a strong passion for Xanterra’s industry, as he grew up visiting several of the parks Xanterra supports, loves traveling, has one son, and is an avid mountain and road cyclist. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona.
