Each year millions of tourists visit our national and state parks, which are some of the most beautiful and memorable places in the world. Therefore, we take our stewardship, environmental and economic responsibilities very seriously. We understand the impacts buildings have on occupants, the community and the environment, and for that reason we strive to implement the highest level of environmentally sustainable design and construction of our buildings in our operations. This provides an opportunity to make a significant, positive impact on business as well as our environment through the reduced consumption of energy and water, the responsible use and reuse of materials, the increased well-being and enjoyment of our guests, and the continuing economic viability of our business.
These revised guidelines build on Xanterra’s successes to date and reaffirms the commitment Xanterra has to ensuring ever-greater levels of environmental performance and stewardship for all construction Xanterra undertakes, fullfilling our mission statement, “Legendary Hospitality with a Softer Footprint.” The guidelines are our tool to ensure that every employee, contractor, vendor, engineer, consultant and architect associated with Xanterra, is held to the highest environmental standard and will continue to look for innovative ways to make our new construction, remodel, and renovation projects as environmentally sound and responsible as possible.
Xanterra’s commitment to sustainability is not a passing fad or trend—it reflects who we are.
